Villa Lotus Canggu Description
Villa Lotus Canggu is an enchanting two-bedroom holiday villa in Bali, located in the heart of fishermen's village of Seseh. Resting on 1500 square metres of land in a beautiful garden surrounded by tall trees and overlooking rice field terraces, the traditional architecture of 250m2 living celebrate concept of Bali tropical living - strong relationship with the nature. Three self-standing pavilions are positioned to maximize view to the garden and sun rise in the east, while the interiors are contemporary, stylish and romantic, incorporating both modern and antique furnishings.From the moment you enter Seseh village and cross the threshold of Villa Lotus, you will experience the warm hospitality, history and culture of Bali. A few kilometres to the northwest of Canggu, a towering banyan - one of the elders of the tree kingdom - heralds the turning to Seseh, a traditional beachside village approached via an avenue of coconut palms.
The village of Seseh is one of the old village recorded on the old history of Bali, it still retains the customs and culture of old Bali. For having wide rice field terraces, here you will see the rice being planted and harvested in the fields. Being the fisherman village, you will also see fishing boats returning in the morning with the night's catch. And, like other parts orf Bali, if you are lucky, you will also see colourful processions to the large beachside temple. Today, this village is an ideal destination for those who want to get lost in the beauty of the countryside, and for those who want to engage with the local people and gain privileged insights into the Balinese Hindu lifestyle.
Villa Lotus Canggu is about one hour driving from the airport and 30 minutes drive from the busy shops, world-class restaurants and vibrant nightlife of Seminyak. It is also 20 minutes drive to Tanah Lot, the most dramatic and venerated sea temple and the Nirwana Golf Course, one of the best golf courses in Asia. If you are a surfer, the famous surfing beaches of Canggu and Pererenan are within walking distance through the beach.
Villa Lotus Accommodation
There are three self-standing structures on the compound to make up this intimate villa. The big structure is the main house with open style living & dining area, kitchen, attached with master bedroom and master bedroom. The second structure is the guest house with the second bedroom. Each structures features stone wall, wooden floor and thatched roof.Entering the property, you will firstly arrive at the parking area. Looking at around, all is green, then you will feel that you are lost somewhere in the world. Where am I? Leaving the parking area to the villa, you will see the guest house (second bedroom) on the left side. A round hut with one nice bedroom and a pretty bathroom equipped with shower, hot & cold running water, hand basin and of course a toilet. The bed is airconditioned with bed sided lamps and a wardrobe.
Walking through garden, look to the east, you may see the tall trees, it seems you are in the jungle. Behind the trees, accross the small river, you may see wide ricefield terraces, the important point of Bali you want to see. A swimming pool with wooden decks for the sun loungers and pool chairs is focal view of the garden. The pool is covered by tall trees, so its shadow will cover you from being burned by the sun. The lawn around the pool is large and great place for the kids to play ground. What a natural life can be experienced at this intimate place!
Finally you will arrive at the main house. An open living area overlooking garden and of course the view in the east. A large dining table next to island table for cooking. A fully equipped kitchen stands next. It is an easy system to be get an easy daily life. A satellite TV with DVD player is placed on one side of this area. This is the center of the villa from which you can enjoy all the property and its great view.
The last round self standing structure is the master bedrooms attached with this living area. The smell of the jungle can be felt from this room. Tall trees and bamboes covers this side. The bed is equipped with a king size bed, a wardrobe and an semi open style bathroom. This terrazzo bathroom has a bathtub, a shower, and a toilet. This bathroom can be accessed either from the master bedroom or the living area.
A public temple is located close by. At least two times a year, the villagers come to celebrate the 'piodalan'. They will decorate the temple and will certainly pray following their Hindu belief. Like other parts of Bali, they will certainly be busy and pray with noise. But, this is Bali, you come to see Bali, so this should not be a problem for you. For a real Bali lovers, they will enjoy it and learn about it.
